Reliable mounting is one of the most important parts of every long-term timelapse project. Whether the system is installed on a construction site, a pole, a wall, a tripod, or another outdoor structure, the camera setup needs to be stable, secure, and easy to position.
That’s why we’ve made a new hardware update to our weatherproof outdoor box and added a new mounting arm option to the TimelapseRobot shop.

Updated Weatherproof GoPro Enclosure
Our Weatherproof GoPro Enclosure now includes mounting screw holes not only on the side, but also on the bottom.
This small change makes installation much more flexible. The box can now be mounted more easily in different orientations, depending on the available mounting point on site. It also allows for a more stable installation in situations where bottom mounting is the better option.
The new bottom mounting holes also make it easier to attach the box to standard photography tripods. This is especially useful for temporary setups, test installations, or projects where a tripod is the most practical mounting solution.

New Mounting Arm Available in the Shop
We’ve also added a new mounting arm option: the Hikvision DS-1293ZJ-P, paired with a pole mount option.
This setup is ideal when the TimelapseRobot hardware needs to be mounted to poles, masts, or similar round structures. It provides a solid and professional mounting solution for outdoor projects where stability is important.
But the mounting arm is not limited to pole installations. By simply removing the pole mount, the mounting arm can also be screwed directly onto flat surfaces, such as walls, wooden structures, or other suitable mounting points.
This makes the new mounting arm a versatile option for many different project locations.
More Options for Real-World Installations
Every outdoor timelapse project is different. Some installations are mounted on poles, others on walls, scaffolding, tripods, or custom structures on site.
With the updated outdoor box and the new mounting arm option, TimelapseRobot hardware can now be installed in more ways, with better stability and more flexibility.
These improvements help make setup easier, reduce installation time, and give you more freedom when choosing the best camera position for your timelapse project.

Built for Long-Term Outdoor Projects
TimelapseRobot is designed for long-term outdoor use, where reliable hardware installation matters just as much as the camera and software.
The updated outdoor box and new mounting arm are part of our ongoing work to make TimelapseRobot installations more practical, more stable, and easier to adapt to different project environments.
